WEEKEND!!

Roy's mom, brother and family came over the weekend to visit. They adopted Kiyah from the Liberty Godparent Home. She is precious!! This is my sister-in-law that had uterus cancer and is now cancer free. Her hair is finally growing out and it is so curly. I think it looks cute but she is not used to it because her hair was completely straight before. Anyway, we had a good time. I love hanging with them. Roy's brother James is hilarious!!

James, Rebecca and Kiyah

Kiyah and Daddy!!!

This is the annual trivial pursuit game they play every time they get together. They play for blood let me tell you. One question was who played the Beaver and James said Jerry Mathis and it was Jerry Mathers and they did not give it to him. And it was for pie too!! Just pure ugliness!!

Kaitlyn's Performance

Kaitlyn had her last performance for the Junior Chorus last weekend. Poor thing was so exhausted. She had practice Tuesday, dress rehearsal Wednesday, then performance Thursday, Friday and Saturday night. It was absolutely amazing. They had it on base at the Naval Aviation Museum. That place was so cool. They had all kinds of fighter jets and planes and stuff. I want to go back and go through the whole thing. Anyway, they put on a great show. We were all instructed this time that she really wanted roses because she has never gotten roses before. So that is what we did and you would have thought we had given her hundreds of dollars. She was so excited. She has rearranged them about 50 million times all over the house!!!

Can you tell she is so excited to have her picture taken???

Katie and Grandma!!

We took them all outside between acts for a snack.

MOTHER'S DAY

Okay so I am over a week late but I wanted to share Mother's Day pics with all of you. I had a great day. It started when I woke up, my sweet hubby had the entire kitchen cleaned up, all the dishes in the dishwasher, counters wiped down, because when I went to bed Saturday night we had had people over for dinner and the kitchen was a disaster!! I was so dreading getting up and having to clean it all up. Anyway, that was my first surprise, then he had gone and gotten flowers and balloons and my favorite a Mr. Goodbar!! Then I told the girls to make me a little book of the 5 things they love about me. It was so sweet!! I know this is all boring all of you but too bad keep reading. Katies 5 things were: She cooks amazing meals, she does fun stuff with me, you give me stuff that helps me live, she works for me, and you gave me life (I will give everyone a moment to go get a tissue). Kaysi's were: I support her in whatever she does, I buy her the cutest clothes and purses, I cook her cakes and pies, I can be so fun sometimes (sometimes??? excuse me???) and I just love to hand out with her. Then at the end she put sorry I was such a bad baby because I am always teasing her about that because she was!! Anyway, just wanted to share that with all of you. I had a great day!!

KAYSI'S BIRTHDAY SLEEPOVER

Kaysi had her birthday sleepover Friday night and I have to say all went well. No drama or crying like her last one in Dallas. I swore that night I would never do it again. Anyway, we all came home from school and they hung out for a while. I hooked up the Karoke machine and had a bunch of snacks set out. Then I fixed those scrumptous 98 cent Totinos pizzas. I mean I went all out for this one. Then about 8:00 we went to the beach to go crabbing. They had more fun!!! Then Saturday we got up and had breakfast and went to the beach again.

This is Kaysi's reading teacher and her little girl. She stopped by and hung out for a while. Her mom lives a street over from us.

Okay I have been unmotivated to blog lately too. Daddy called me last Tuesday and said he was about to get on the bus in Huntsville to come see us. He was dying to be here on Kaysi's birthday. Anway, of course I told him he didn't need to spend the money but his bags were packed!! I didn't tell either of the girls but the next morning after I dropped Kaitlyn off at school Kaysi and I started driving back home and went for a few miles before she realized I had not turned to go back home. So I just told her she and I were going to have a day together and go shopping for her birthday (she had been on me all week to let her stay home on her birthday). I told her we were going to McDonalds for breakfast and then on to Target or wherever. We walked into McDonalds and Daddy was back in the play area and he came around and she finally saw him!!! It was priceless. She was so mad that we tricked her. Anyway, then Roy tells me his best friend Opie and his brother Matt are coming Friday night for the weekend. All that to say this, if any of you decide to come visit just call me and tell me you are on your way. I didn't wipe the tee tee of the potties for them and I won't for you either!!!!! We didn't do a whole lot but it was still fun. We took Kaysi to Outback for her birthday and then I let them both stay home on Friday too because Daddy was leaving Friday night. Watch them not get their report card for missing too many days. Here are a few pics from the weekend.
I went to the little fresh fish market and got some shrimp and salmon to cook Thursday night. The girls and our little neighbor Moira deveining the shrimp!! Better them than me!!!

Needless to say Kaitlyn had the camera on this one and kept telling Papa to make silly faces!!
