Can you tell I have been bored today???

Okay Roy and I have had momma and daddy's furniture for a long time now and only today did I notice this. I was putting some of Roy's laundry away and I saw these 3 pieces of masking tape. As I looked closer I could see it was colors of daddy's socks. This used to be his sock drawer and I guess momma got tired of him asking her all the time to go find him a certain color of socks. So she just took it upon herself to take care of that problem. I think she had shoe boxes in the drawer and she would put each color in each shoe box. Was George Murray spoiled or what??? Anyway, I just started laughing when I saw this and wanted to share-----And who wore maroon socks by the way???

MEMORIES!!

Okay Katie was playing with this the other day and I just had to post it. I don't know what grade I was in when I took this but I know it had to have been the greatest lunch box ever!! I know I must have had the thermos to match at some point. But can you believe the masking tape with my name is still on there??? What are the chances??? I can still taste that Carl Budding turkey sandwich, cheetos and snickers bar every day for lunch!!! Oh and the Kool Aid don't forget!! Donna Gail was such a health conscious mom wasn't she???? I am actually afraid to touch it for fear of poisoning from all the rust everywhere-----

KATIE'S FORT

Katie over the weekend had made this little fort in the living room. She had so many clothespins holding it together and God love her it was a mess. So Roy promised her on Monday he would redo her "Fort" and make it better. Well he moved it into our bedroom mainly because we were sick of looking at it as soon as we came in the door. And as most of you know I am so OCD about my house and everything being in order it was about to send me over the edge. So is this I might add but I can at least shut the door and not see it. Anyway, when she got home from school on Monday she saw it and you would have thought it was Christmas morning!! It is the little things in life I suppose. Anyway, thought ya'll might get a kick out it--------

WEEKEND

Okay this is not very exciting but hey it is a post!! Kaysi had yet another soccer tournament this weekend. Coach moved her up an age and she played on the U14 Gold team. Notice I threw the "Gold" in there. It was not just the U14 team but U14 Gold. Okay now that we have that clear she had 2 games on Saturday and 2 yesterday and the "Gold" team, the one Kaysi was on (did I mention that already???) won their age bracket. It is a good thing she got all her athletic genes from her mother. I mean do you know how many muscles it takes to do a herky jump?? or a toe touch??? Well let me just tell you it is not easy sista!!! So I am sure that is where she got all of her leg muscles from. Anyway, poor Katie B thought she was going to be bored out of her mind but thank goodness they had these bouncy houses and for $5.00 she could play on them all day long--- So that is what she did Saturday and Sunday---They also had this thing called the Gyro machine. You get in it and basically keep turning around upside down and every which way but all the kids loved it. Katie wanted no part of it though. Here are just a few pics--

Here is the gyro machine. Does that name just sound so foul to you????

My little star!!!!

We actually ended up playing the other U14 team in the finals but the "Gold" team won
(the one Kaysi was on, I think I mentioned that already though)

Do you think she has had enough soccer for the weekend??

NEW KITTIES!!

Our neighbors cat had kittens sometime early this morning. We knew she was getting close but Clare went out this morning and heard them all!!! I had told the girls we could have one as long as it is an outside cat. I DO NOT DO CATS!!! Never had them growing up and they really kind of freak me out a little. Anyway, they are the cutest ever. I don't know that I have ever seen them this little before. Katie kept talking about their "biblical cord". I finally corrected her after I had laughed hysterically several times.

NEW SHOES!!

Roy brought me home some new running shoes today!!! I was so excited because the shoes I had I have had for probably about 4 years. Not good for running. Anyway, I guess it is the little things in life when you get this age!!!

JUST CALL ME MARTHA TODAY!!

I love days like today that don't come too often but we had absolutely nothing going on today after I dropped the girls off from the sleepover. No soccer, no practice, no nothing!! So first of all, Kaysi wanted me to make some homemade ranch so she could eat it with her carrots and I must say it was delicious!! Then I had the stuff to make a homemade pizza!! YUM YUM delicious as well. And to top it all off we made a butterscotch pie!! It is so easy to make and absolute so yummy---The girls helped with all and so I was snapping photos and irritating the fire out of them---

Is this a beautiful pizza or what???

Kaysi eating her carrots and did I mention homemade ranch?? Oh yeah I did---

I need to rewrite this recipe but I just can't bring myself to do it!!
It is that sentimental thing that I am so OCD about

Just in case you are wondering this is the correct posture for mixing

Kaysi is not demonstrating the correct posture here.

Katie B hard at it!!

Notice the flour on the arms and head they threw in just for the effect!!!

The finished product!!

KATIE'S SLEEPOVER

Katie had 3 friends over last night for her birthday. We went to the Wharf which is an outdoor type mall with mainly specialty stores and restaurants. Anyway, they have a Build A Bear and Dippin Dots so that is where she wanted to go. The girls had fun but I have to say they were a handful. Roy actually went and stayed at the condo and left me alone!!! Imagine that!!

WE WON!!!

Kaysi had a tournament in Panama City this past weekend and they won the whole thing!!! They were so excited and so were all the parents!! It was a lot of fun and we even played up an age which made it even more challenging but the girls did awesome!! here are a few pics from the weekend---

Several families stayed at the same hotel. My kids are so sheltered!! They act like they have never stayed at a hotel before!!! It was so fun though--

A few weeks ago my neighbor had asked us to watch their kids for the weekend so they could go to a wedding. At the time I did not know about this tournament!! Well, they came with us!! They had a ball too!!!

Here are a few of the moms. I have no idea what that look is on my face but anyway, here is proof that I actually have made some friends. Count them will you???? I can even name them if you want me to----

Here is Katie B with some of the "little sisters"

MY ANGEL TURNED "10"

My sweet little Katie B turned 10 on Monday. We have kind of made it a tradition that they don't go to school on their birthday!! I know, I know I am horrible. Anyway, it did not take much to wake her up yesterday morning!! She was so excited!! She absolutely loves birthdays!! More than the average child I think. Anyway, we went shopping and she got a new Webkinz, some craft stuff and Kaysi bought her a purse. Then we went to Outback for dinner. She is having some girls over Friday to spend the night.

SO PEACEFUL!!!

She is ready for the birthday to begin!!

Heading to the mall!!
She wanted to buy this little box and some paints to decorate it!! She was so proud of it!!

The little boy next door gave her $5.00 and some pencils to go with her art easle--

This is the purse Kaysi bought her!! All she kept saying was that it had a built in wallet!!
The little things in life huh????

This is the art easle the neighbors gave her--

Finishing up the day at Outback!!
