I love days like today that don't come too often but we had absolutely nothing going on today after I dropped the girls off from the sleepover. No soccer, no practice, no nothing!! So first of all, Kaysi wanted me to make some homemade ranch so she could eat it with her carrots and I must say it was delicious!! Then I had the stuff to make a homemade pizza!! YUM YUM delicious as well. And to top it all off we made a butterscotch pie!! It is so easy to make and absolute so yummy---The girls helped with all and so I was snapping photos and irritating the fire out of them---

OK, I am so impressed with your domestication. WOW! And I even bet those pictures aren't posed either.
Now for the homemade Ranch dressing....how do you make that? Do you have a recipe? I tried to find a recipe one time but the store I was trying to find was hidden in the valley, (Get it....Hidden Valley Ranch....The valley is hidden....Get it) Ok, sorry. I had a Mike Smalley moment there. It must have been those years of huffing.
Krister all I can say is I am seriously worried about you now. I had hoped for so long your husband would never rub off on you but I just don't know how much longer I can hold on to that hope--That was definitely a Mike Smalley comment ---SO RETARDED!!!!! But of course did I laugh??? Oh yes indeedy I did !!!!
Wendy, Wendy...who knew you were such a Betty Crocker. I'm impressed! I have old recipes like that too and they are my favorite...I almost want to have them framed. :) Okay, I want to know how to make a butterscotch pie...that sounds absolutely scrumptious!!!
Butterscotch pie:
1 1/2 C brown sugar
2 C milk
7 T cornstarch
Pinch of soda
2 T butter
Mix all this together over medium heat until thick. Then gently beat 3 egg yolks and 1 tsp vanilla and add some of the hot mixture to the egg yolks then back into the rest of the mixture. Pour into a baked 9 inch pie crust---YUMMY
What???? There's no actual butterscotch in the pie??? Sounds so good - thanks for the recipe!!
